Training combines classroom learning with practical exercises and realistic scenarios covering areas such as risk assessment, journey management, checkpoints, kidnap awareness, emergency communications, First Aid, trauma response and crisis decision-making.

Archer’s Personal Safety & Security Training is designed for personnel working or travelling in challenging environments across South Sudan. It addresses the everyday risks staff may face at offices, compounds, residential locations, checkpoints, on roads and during field deployments.
The programme covers situational awareness, journey management, vehicle and checkpoint safety, UXO and mine awareness, compound security, Fire Safety, First Aid, human rights and PSEA, communications and emergency decision-making. This is particularly relevant for NGOs and humanitarian organisations seeking to strengthen duty of care for national staff.

Yes. Archer maintains the training and medical equipment required to deliver practical, hands-on courses in South Sudan, including medical training kits, AED trainers, and adult and child resuscitation manikins. For security and hostile-environment training, Archer has access to Land Cruisers and operational training equipment, and works with local police where appropriate to support realistic scenario-based exercises. This allows participants to practise skills rather than relying solely on classroom instruction.

Archer’s training team combines international and South Sudanese expertise. Our instructors include British former military personnel, Kenyan trainers holding Level 3 qualifications in education and training, and experienced South Sudanese trainers with extensive knowledge of the local operating environment.
This diverse team allows Archer to combine international training standards with practical regional experience. Courses can be delivered in English, Arabic and Kiswahili, helping organisations train both international and nationally recruited personnel effectively. French-language delivery is also being developed.
